Boeing Process & Tools team is currently looking for Lead SW Process engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization. As a member of this Process & Tools team, you will be responsible for development, implementation & Deployment of high-integrity Airplane systems process for Boeing Military & Commercial aircrafts complying with DO-178C, DO-330, DO-331, and Military guidelines.
Position Responsibilities
  • The person will be responsible for activities involving Process Development, Process Implementation, and Process deployment.
  • Focused on improving processes and managing process change management as needed.
  • Provides technical guidance on processes for alignment to the engineering team.
  • Work independently within a team environment to manage the Software processes.
  • Support process deployment to PDM by engaging with internal stakeholders.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • BE / Mtech in Computers, Electronics, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in working with DO-178C, DO-330, and DO-331 guidelines and compliance.
  • Experience in process asset development, process implementation, and process deployment.
  • Good knowledge working in AS9100/AS9115 standards.
  • Support engineering organizations and prepare data for engineering/program release.
  • Should have good review skill
  • Should have good experience in developing and baselining process documents per DO-178 Guideline.
  • Review/enhance engineering work products as per the needs of the engineering team.
  • Good experience in managing process as per Software Change Management process.
  • Experience and understanding of configuration status accounting processes.
  • Experience and a good understanding of SDLC process and implementation of process requirements (large or small scale).
  • Knowledge of the toolset -DOORS, Alsatian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, and Collaborator, etc.) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to understand complex architectural and networking concepts and quickly learn and apply tools and Processes to enhance business process and service delivery.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem resolution and process management skills, as well as have prior experience with complex PDM systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Good understanding of DO-254, ARP4754 guidelines.
  • Good Auditing Skill.
  • Experience with producing engineering metrics and reports.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Good exposure to military standards.

Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelors Engineering degree, Preferably Electronics/Aeronautical/Electrical / Systems Engineering and typically 12+ or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 11+ years of related work experience etc.).

Education & Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Computers, Aerospace engineering or equivalent discipline with a minimum of 12+ years of work related experience in aerospace engineering domain particularly pertaining to hardware development projects
