Job Description :
Role Proficiency:
Create and Organise testing process based on project requirement and manage test activities within team
Outcomes:
  1. Test Estimates and Schedules-. Ensure Test Coverage
  2. Produce test results defect reports test logs and reports to evidence for testing
  3. Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
  4. Ensure Quality of Deliverables
  5. Report project metrics and status
  6. Ensure adherence of Engineering practices processes and standards
  7. Understand and contribute to test automation/performance testing
  8. Work with DevOps team when required to understand testing framework and QA process for implementing continuous testing
  9. Manage team utilization

Measures of Outcomes:
  1. Test Script Creation and Execution Productivity
  2. Defect Leakage Metrics (% of defect leaked % of UAT defects and % of Production defects)
  3. % of Test case reuse
  4. Test execution Coverage
  5. Defect Acceptance Ratio
  6. Test Review efficiency
  7. On-time delivery Effort Variance
  8. Test Automation Coverage

Outputs Expected:
Supporting Organization:
  1. Ensure utilization and quality of deliverables prepared by the team
  2. Co-ordinate Test Environment and Test Data provisioning

Test Design
Development

  1. Participate in review walkthrough demo and obtain sign off by stakeholder
  2. Prepare Test Summary Report for modules/features

Requirements Management:
  1. Analyse Prioritize Identify Gaps create workflow diagrams based on Requirements/User stories

Manage Project:
  1. Participate in Test management
  2. Preparing Tracking and Reporting of Test progress based on schedule

Domain relevance:
  1. Identify business processes conduct risk analysis and ensure test coverage

Estimate:
  1. Prepare Estimate Schedule Identify dependencies

Knowledge Management:
  1. Consume Contribute Review (Best Practices Lesson learned Retrospective)

Test Design
Execution:
  1. Test Plan preparation Test Case/Script Creation Test Execution

Risk Identification:
  1. Identification of risk/issues and prepare Mitigation and Contingency plans

Test & Defect Management:
  1. Conduct root cause and trend analysis of the defects

Test Planning:
  1. Identify the test scenarios with understanding of systems interfaces and application
  2. Identify end-to-end business critical scenarios with less support Create and review the test scenarios and prepare RTM
  3. Prepare estimates (time /effort) based on the requirements/User stories
  4. Identify scope of testing

Client Management:
  1. Define KPIs to the engagement and ensure adherence to these KPIs.

Stakeholder Connect:
  1. Handle monthly/weekly governance calls and represent issues for the team

Skill Examples:
  1. Ability to Create Review and manage a test plan
  2. Ability to prepare schedules based on estimates
  3. Ability to track report progress and take corrective measures on need basis
  4. Ability to identify test scenarios and prepare RTM
  5. Ability to analyze requirement/user stories and prioritize testing

Provide expert support and guidance in the niche areas of performance, stress, usability testing and test automation . Conduct testing on all software products for applicable OS platforms utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures . Mentor Test Analysts/Senior Test Analysts on testing related activities .
