Job Description
Medical transcriptionists listen to dictated recordings from medical care providers and adapt them into written form. Their transcriptions may include office visit notes, medical test results, referral letters and other documentation for accurate medical records. Job details are as follows:
To transcribe the discharge summaries dictated.
Ensuring quality of output with marginal or zero errors.
Ensuring the documents is submitted on time to the consultant for signatures.
To coordinate with Nursing Team if dictation required help in interpretation.
To do the discharge summary typing before the patient discharges
If the hand written summary received, type and send for consultants signature.
To be part of the quality improvement initiative and protocols of the organization
