The Connected Software team is expanding and looking for exceptional talent to join us and help accelerate value creation using non-certified software for Honeywell Aero SBG. We primarily architect, design, develop and deploy cloud/web applications and mobile application for various Aero GBEs, for example - Connected Radar, Connected Engines, Connected GPS etc.
We are looking for a Senior Advanced Software Engineer who could take up challenging technical tasks for cloud/web application side of the team. Do this by owning up technical lead role in one or more than one scrum team. This role will work closely with scrum master, software architects, Product owner, LSEs from COEs and larger engineering teams across various Aero GBEs, with direct responsibilities for the overall cloud and web technology application software.
The position requires knowledge, experience and background of full stack cloud development and fair understanding of best-in-class industry standards as well as solid coding and design skills. This role requires a team player who is well versed in the large-scale commercial software development, organized, detail oriented and able to deliver results on-time and within budget. It also requires the candidate to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external teams.
This role will report into Sr. Manager for Connected Software team and will be based in Bangalore.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
.Full stack web/Cloud development with exposure to latest technologies. Exposure of Honeywell Forge architecture is highly preferred.
.Basic knowledge for mobile client (iPhone, Android, Surface) application design and development.
.Practitioner of Agile methodologies for the non-certified software development.
.Basic understanding and exposure of connected solution architecture and approach to convert that into a viable and commercial product offering for Aerospace customers.
.Accountable for high quality deliverables for self and mentees in the team.
.Contribute to new growth ideas and product solutions to grow connected products portfolio.
.Contribute to design and architecture that will pass Cyber security provisions. Ability to learn about and drive adoption of tools and DevSecOps
.Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations to define clear requirements, deliverables, and milestones for mobile or web/cloud applications. Collaborate, Lead, and Inspire other engineers.
.Actively explore interesting new tools and techniques: Rapid prototyping.
.Enterprise software integrations: Design interfaces between mobile solutions and existing and/or brand new enterprise application servers and applications
.Entrepreneurial: Passionate about working in a small, aggressive team in a fast-paced environment. Ready, capable, and willing to learn new technology as project needs dictate

YOU MUST HAVE
Accomplished career experience in the area of software development for large enterprise-grade products - 2 or more of those.
Minimum of 10+ years of software development experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
Software Engineering experience within Aerospace and specially around cockpit systems is a definite added advantage.
