Roles and Responsibilities/ Job Summary:
The role requires a good understanding of credit analysis, creditworthiness, credit underwriting, credit appraisal memo, commercial lending, financial analysis, asset evaluation, and income calculation. The role may also need expertise around residential underwriting, mortgage underwriting, government-sponsored loans, and pre-purchase review.
- The candidate must come from residential underwriting experience and background.
- The candidate must come from end to end underwriting or should have worked as an underwriter and have review experience.
- The candidates must have exposure evaluating the documents with 4C criteria as mentioned below,
- income calculation
- credit reconciliation
- asset validation
- appraisal review
- The candidate must have good communication and should be flexible to work in night shifts.
Job Description Commercial lending/UW:
- Understanding about credit policies, credit lines, standards, and procedures
- Obtaining and assessing financial information, including financial statements and credit histories
- Collaborating with other financial institutions in setting up loan packages for extensive loans
- Performing due diligence on the lending process from application to closing documentation
- Liaising between borrowers and underwriting departments
- Complete independent, reliable estimates of potential cash flow and current underwriting values used to screen and evaluate mortgage applications on large office, hotel and retail properties located throughout the US.
- Ensure timely and complete presentation of cash flow models and value estimates to support the credit decision process and determine whether there will be sufficient cash flow to repay the loan.
- Provide the basis on which loan to value and debt coverage ratio expectations are calculated to ensure compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
- Pre-screening of properties/loan, Loan Processing tasks like Package of Exhibits (POE), DRR inputs, performing crime search and borrower checks, spreading (Operating Statements & Rent Rolls),
- Underwriting, (Under writing tasks like 3rd party report review and salient checks, Market Data Summaries, SREO data input etc.), File audit and Reporting Compliance for Commercial Real Estate Loans / Properties.
