Job Description
- Plan, manage logistic operations liaising with internal stake holders, suppliers, logistic providers, transportation companies and customer.
- Create and implement best practice logistic principles, policies processes across the organisation to improve and operational and financial performance.
- Deliver solutions to logistic problems while maintaining high level of quality and services within budgetary requirements.
- Monitor quality, quantity, delivery time and transportation cost.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistic providers.
- Recommend optimal transport mode, route or frequency.
- Select suppliers and monitor services against performance criteria.
- Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and maintain the stock movements with direct reports.
- Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and insure inventory and system records are in agreement.
- Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock.
- Ensure IT system in place are effective, maintained and accurate.
- Ensure metric, reports and documentation is available.
- Hold responsibility for department budget.
