Desired Candidate Profile

Big data practice at Clairvoyant, focuses on solving our customers business problems by delivering products designed with best in class engineering practices and a commitment to keep the total cost of ownership to a minimum. The role of Big Data Engineer is a critical role that spans across e-commerce, Banking-Finance, Education domain customer projects.
Must Have:
- 4-8 years of very strong server-side Java experience, especially in an Open Source, data-intensive, distributed environments
- Minimum 2 years experience in Big data related technologies
- Preferred: worked on open source products and contributions in them
- Self-starter & resourceful personality with an ability to manage & pressure situations
Big Data:
- MUST have HANDS-ON experience (> 2 yr) on Hadoop tools/technologies like Map Reduce, Spark, Hive, HDFS.
- HANDS-ON expertise and excellent understanding of big data toolset such as Sqoop, Spark, Kafka to name few
- Good working knowledge in NoSQL DB (Mongo, HBase, Casandra)
- Implemented complex projects dealing with the considerable data size (TB/ PB) and with high complexity in the production environment.
J2EE and Database:
- 2+ years of experience in developing Java applications and web frameworks
- Strong core Java, and related enterprise tech stack like Spring, Hibernate.
- Strong understanding of web services, knowledge of REST architecture and working experience of frameworks like Spring-WS or Jersey.
- Good knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization techniques
- Hands-on experience in working with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
Role & Responsibilities:
Implementation of various solutions arising out of the large data processing (TBs/ PBs) over various NoSQL, Hadoop, and MPP-based products. Hands-on development for solving problem statements using big-data technologies. Participation in architectural discussions and coming up with solutions with best practices. Follow agile process (scrum/kanban) for on-time delivery of working solutions and meeting client expectations.
- The position is on Contract to Hire
- Immediate joiners are preferred
Education:
UG: BCA - Computers, B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization
