US MNC : Software Engineer (New Product Development) @ Ahmedabad

One of the group company manufactures monitoring & protection devices for high value electrical assets like Motors, Hydro Generators, Power Grid, Switchgear & Breakers, Transformers, Turbine Generators, Vault Transformers etc & OEM manufacturing companies. Since 1945, they produce thousands of different types of products on demand, customized to meet unique requirements.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3 6 Years of professional Product Development experience
- Clear understanding of software development practices & lifecycles
- Have expertise in the following: C++, C#, SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, Multithreading
- Have experience with generic messaging, .NET Framework 3.5 & the latest MS Visual Studio tools
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented concepts
- Knowledge of service oriented architectures including MicroServices Architecture
- Are an independent & motivated self-starter
- Work well within teams or individually
Preferred skills/experience:
- Experience with industry best practices
- Agile development methodologies
- Experience in building scalable enterprise solutions
Job Profile
- Collaborate with System architects, Product Managers & Sales team members to develop commercial & technical requirements for software applications & middleware used to deliver services to global electric grid customers
- Drive code development with a team of system architects to develop high value solutions which delight customers consistent with the clients brand
- Create code that meets clients coding standards, commercial specifications, & is easy to maintain.
- Develop automated test plans for unit & integration tests to ensure that features work per defined use cases
- Ensure that all code is documented & reviewed
- Use the latest technologies such as code generation, Software containers to reduce implementation time & enhance software portability, AI for data analytics, etc.
- Mentor entry level Software developers on engineering & company best practices
- Create product using a test-driven design approach
