Duties & Responsibilities
1. Create design requirements specifications from product features, illustrated with high and detailed level block diagrams.
2. Requirements include electrical, mechanical, environmental and standards compliance details.
3. Design Analog and Digital or mixed mode circuits with schematic capture software.
4. Exercise simulation and interpret results. Present improvements for designed circuits.
5. Perform layout of the circuits with proper floor-planning and routing, including impedance, length compensation, signal integrity and noise analysis, using layout software.
6. Test circuits and validate designs Make sure results are within or exceed requirements
7. Optimize design for manufacturing process (cost reduction, alternatives)
8. Make bills of materials and assembly drawings for production.
9. Write production test specifications and procedures.
10. Create circuit design verification and debug documentation.
11. Test prototypes and provide performance analysis in written report.
12. Research, test and verify substitutes for end of life parts.
13. Perform any other electrical duties required by the Company.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
2. Knowledgeable in design system/hardware/firmware
3. Experience with CAD design tools, preferably Altium, P-Cad, Spice-simulators.
4. Good understanding of physical tools: Scope, Spectrum analyzers, power supplies, assembly tools.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills
6. Ability to source components and work with component vendors
7. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
