Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Platforms
In this role, you would be responsible for Review technical requirements documents and resolve scope and approach for testing.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for integration testing across projects
- Responsible for maintaining JMeter performance test cases
- Involved in reviewing output of performance profiling and identifying testing required
- Contribute to knowledge transfer on technical testing stills across the QA practice
- Build comprehensive and well defined test cases that are traceable back to requirements
- Responsible for owning, maintaining the technical QA tracker
- Contribute to identifying new tools and processes that can increase productivity
- Work with QA Manager/QA lead to plan and schedule the testing. Work with development team to execute non-functional tests. Work with automation team to identify tests for automated regression
- Execution of integration, migration, performance test. supervising defects through to closure, with a good understanding of the high risk critical issue process
- Determine requirement and approach for regression testing. Phenomenal Teammate who can collaborate and communicate optimally with all partners
- Participate in defect triage discussions (internal/external)
- Lead daily technical QA stand ups. Supply to process definition and documentation of approaches and standards
- Build test data as the need arises using tools available
- Determine any gaps in tooling and analyse the market to advise on suitable tools and technologies
- Responsible for crafting and executing all test cases required for, Daily status reporting to QA Lead technical testing activities. status reporting to QA Practice Lead
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech
Preferred qualifications
Experience in software testing
- Experience in a technical testing role
- Proficient in SOAP UI, Postman or other API testing tools
- Exposure to JMeter, test automation tools and frameworks e.g. Selenium
- Visual Studio experience
- Experience in scripting Java, C#, SQL, Python
- Some knowledge of XML, xPath, XSLT
- Experience with SQL/Oracle databases
- Some experience in non-functional testing
- Good solid grasp of MS Office
- Experience in a test management tool desirable
- Performance/Load testing experience desirable
- Client facing experience desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, good technical problem solving skills, with an ability to fix sophisticated issues
- Proven attention to detail and the ability to grasp concepts quickly and have an appetite for knowledge
