Technical Project Manager - Gurgaon @ Orange Business

CONTEXT OF THE SERVICE / PROJECT:
Within OBS, OCB Engineering team provides expert level support on the Cloud hosting platforms to external and internal customers.

JOB PURPOSE:

A " Technical Project Manager " is responsible for providing project planning and management for established initiatives within a company. Technical project manager will manage all technical projects through every stage of development, from idea to design to completion. Technical project manager develop new products and features to create new revenue sources and increase company profits and customer satisfaction. A Technical Project Manager ensures that projects are completed on time and within budget, following all applicable best practices.

MAIN MISSION:

• Managing all the automation, developments project / activity related to the provisioning and lifecycle of Orange cloud platforms
• Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
• Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
• Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards.
• Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
• Oversee acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with customers, team members, managers, and in-house accountants and negotiating price and payment agreements with vendors.
• Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news.

Desired skills/knowledge:

• Experience and knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter 6.5 / 6.7
• Exposure to cloud and its components - VMware Cloud / AWS / Azure Cloud Platform
• Should have automation and development expertise in Python, Java technologies
• Should have led scrum teams and has proven track record with Agile Product Development
• Good understanding on different DevOps tool and technology like Ansible, Jenkins, Git etc..
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to adapt and respond to changes both inside and outside the projects/ program.
• Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
• Demonstrated ability in solving business problems using quantitative approaches
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
• Perform a market watch and plan update of solution based on new technology
