Job Title: Symfony/Pimcore Software Engineers
Requisite Technical Skills and Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Symfony framework and experience building factories/facades/libraries using abstract classes, interfaces, traits.
- Any knowledge or experience in Pimcore would be an added advantage
- Demonstrable experience with PHP including OOP, security, refactoring & design patterns.
- Experience in unit testing using testing frameworks like PHPUnit/phpspec.
- Good knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL/MS SQL/PostgreSQL), database designing and query optimisation techniques. Experience in NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases will be an added advantage.
- Good core knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and Bootstrap framework. Experience in JavaScript Frameworks (Angular/ReactJS/VueJS)
- Hands on experience in RESTful API design and development including implementation for authentication and authorization.
- Experience in micro-services development will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of version controlling systems like Git, clear understanding of Gitflow workflow, repository management tools like BitBucket and understanding of overall CI/CD process.
- Working knowledge of cloud servers (Azure or AWS), related services and server administration like setting up Apache/Nginx, php-fpm etc.
- Good knowledge of Docker
- Ability to make composer packages.
- Worked with webpack, gulp.js, Babel for browser support.
- Good Knowledge of Linux server environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, secure, test driven, easily maintainable and modular codes.
- Database designing and maintenance.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Perform UI/backend tests to optimize performance.
- Adhere closely to development plans and anticipate changes to specification or schedule as they become necessary during development.
- Performing unit testing on written software.
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills required.
- Participating on an agile team and reporting daily development efforts.
- Collaborating with developers and managers to deliver on requirements planned for each well-defined sprint.
- Ability to work well with others - teamwork, cooperation, respect, and integrity, and excellent communication.
- Ability to logically document and solve problems and to keep the project moving.
- Must be a self-motivated, organized and strong communicator.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality.
