Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Under limited supervision and guidance from Internal Audit Manager and Internal Audit Director, Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for conducting & leading audit engagements, providing guidance and review of deliverables, while ensuring each engagement is conducted in an efficient and effective manner for Holding and its group companies,
- Obtain an understanding of business processes and leverage an understanding of risk and control concepts to develop risk assessments, audit programs and testing procedures that appropriately address risks, process deficiencies and/or control weaknesses,
- Assess the adequacy & effectiveness of financial, compliance, and operational controls being exercised over the activities using objectivity & independence, professional benchmarks,
- Determine whether the necessary actions have been taken by the management to attain goals and objectives,
- Examine financial reporting reliability and assess compliance with all applicable directives and regulations,
- Review audit evidence and demonstrate the ability to draw appropriate conclusions to add value to the Company,
- Identify and appropriately communicate audit issues to management, offering value-added recommendations,
- Confirmation of the identified draft audit findings with the relevant process owners in field. Inform management about the status of field work periodically.
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with the management to encourage the early and open discussion of issues arising and joint commitment to problem solving,
- Prepare working papers that are accurate, complete and well-documented,
- Provide timely updates on engagement progress, audit findings and status of follow-ups to the Internal Audit Manager and Internal Audit Director and the Audit Committee ensuring all deadlines are consistently achieved,
- Conducts fraud investigations when necessary.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Economics from a reputable university,
- An excellent command of written and spoken English,
- Min 5-6 years of audit background ideally with some internal audit experience in the internal audit departments of the companies or big four,
- Its preferable to have several years of exposure to similar industries, e.g. ground handling services, cargo services etc.,
- Experience in operational, financial and compliance audits (preferably experience in IT audit),
- Its preferable to have a professional accounting or audit qualification such as CIA, CRMA, CA or CPA,
- Have strong communication skills, team leadership capabilities and an ability to influence at senior levels,
- Ability to take ownership of a project/task,
- Good command of MS Office, SAP applications,
- Thrive in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment and have the flexibility to travel (domestic and international) for up to 40%-50% of the time,
- Capable of working independently and with minimum supervision,
- Demonstrate an ability to give and follow instructions accurately and efficiently ensuring work efforts are directed toward the desired outcome,
