About the Role
Payments development team at EGS is currently engaged with in leading emerging payment initiatives like Real Time Payments, Push To Card, Zelle Pay, ISO 20022 and FedNow. The position is essential to maintain our current commitment to the industry and business needs.
We are seeking a highly motivated & result-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support complex applications within TMPS. The primary role will be to support Quality Engineering function as an individual contributor to support end-to-end automation & continuous delivery thereby having a significant impact to our systems/business/customers.
Responsibilities
Strong knowledge of QA methodology/tools & proficient in developing test strategies, test plans
Perform different types of testing (Functional, Regression, Integration, Automation, Performance, Security, Exploratory) & play multiple roles across SDLC (Test design, Automation scripting, Test execution)
Actively contribute towards requirements analysis & design/architecture reviews, impact analysis, proof of concepts & value creation
Focuses on testability of application's features like scalability, reliability, consistency, robustness, performance
Involved in building, customizing, deploying & managing the environment/ test automation frameworks, test harnesses & fixtures
Perform white/gray box testing to validate functional behavior of features & help scope testing for black box test team
Troubleshoot & debug applications/programs, perform unit testing, code reviews, code quality & security checks for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
Acts as expert technical resource to staff & provide direction/mentoring
Identify engineering process bottlenecks & opportunities for improvement. Report risks early & proactively remove blockers to ensure timely execution of projects
Participate in internal/cross team meetings, project scoping, documentation, RCA, track defect resolution, analyze/report test results & capture quality engineering metrics to provide insights/conclusions
Essential Qualifications
B.Tech or equivalent with 9+ years experience in development/SDET roles
Experienced in Agile/Scrum SDLC & tools like JIRA, Confluence
OOPs understanding, proficient in Core Java & any scripting language (Python/JavaScript/Shell)
Experienced on black box & white box testing methods and applying TDD & BDD practices
Automation tools experience (Selenium, Appium) for development of automated tests across application layers (UI/Service/Data)
Experienced to design/develop/maintain reusable/scalable Automation Test frameworks (POM, TestNG, QMetry)
Familiar with Static code analysis, Code coverage analysis, Cross-browser testing, API testing & Test Data Management. Adhere to best practices/coding standards
CI/CD working knowledge with tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Gradle, SonarQube
Experience working in offshore-onshore model & collaborating with all stakeholders
