Job Description
- QA Inspector (Hard Goods & Soft Goods) Fixed Term Contract Role for One year
For QA Inspector (apparel) Combination of Apparel + Soft Home. One who have done apparel & Soft home categories like cushions, towels, rugs, doormats, towels etc. vast range of soft home as well
- QA Inspector (Core Hard Goods) Fixed Term Contract Role for One year
Primary Purpose:
- Relevant experience of Hard Goods and Soft Goods
- QA & PP sample review
- Provide technical support and arrange training to relevant parties
- Conduct factory technical audit and follow up on corrective action plan, if required
- Frequent visit to Factory to understand production progress & quality issues, provide technical advice & solution on our product quality improvement & compliance; & keep good track on factories production status, quality corrective action plan
- To prepare weekly inspection result statistical report, i.e. inspection summary report
- To monitor weekly inspection schedule, monthly KPI statistical report i.e. in-line %, platform inspection failure & self- inspection %.
- Regular meetings for quality update and improvement with quality team and factory QC for quality improvement
- Regular follow-up factory performance review
- To perform inspection adherence to company SOP and quality standard and issue inspection report.
- Work closely with internal departments & stakeholders to make sure quality issues are well resolved
- Check and review 3rd party and QC cost report.
- To prepare inspection itinerary upon receipt of inspection schedule from the QC coordinator.
- Implement global quality standards through training and development of local Supplier and Production Unit (PU) competencies and fully utilise self-inspection opportunities.
- To work with factory management to correct quality problem, if required.
- Enforce Quality consistency by driving good pp meeting practice.
- Support the Development and Production of quality products in line with the company strategy and contracted expectations.
- Apply best industry practice thinking and cross share and fertilize new concepts to improvequality standards of company products
- Good understanding of quality requirements for the products handled and AQL system.
- To ensure the inspection carry out on time and carry out the inspection according to company SOP.
- To ensure all our products meet contracted pp standards.
- To ensure the inspection summary updated
- Drive the application of the KAS Quality Manual/guidelines MMS and HTM at supplier and third party and factory level.
- To ensures the safety control process is in place in factory and have record kept in the inspection report
- Support and monitor PU product safety processes according to company standards.
- To ensure the factory location aligned to the QA report and have record kept in the inspection report
- To ensure the factory have all development and QA sample reports and good records of corrections to contracted agreed standard, guidance notes to be shared at the PPM.
- To ensure the seal sample / DCL and QA report available in the factory prior for inspection and have record kept in the inspection report
- To ensure that the correct seal sample, trim card, complete Quality Master file and factory pre shipment are available and functioning correctly.
Formal Education/Qualifications:
- College or university graduated. (Preferable in garment field or similar qualification)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
Work Experience:
- 7 to 15 years relevant experience in Hard Goods & Soft Goods
- Working in foreign based company is preferred; Proficiency in written and spoken English are essential
- Strong technical knowledge in production and quality system & standards
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven success in maintaining quality policy & standard
- Proficient analytically and good reporting skills
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities/Technology Used:
- Technical knowledge across a broad range of Hard Goods & Soft Goods
- Well understand Australia and international safety standard
- Supportive on developing and implementing new products and product standards
- Good Integrity is a must
