Job Description
The Role
As Devops Engineer, you will work with our teams of software developers, product owners and IT team to create end to end infrastructure to combine software development and IT operations . You will be part of the team to help shorten the systems development life cycle and provide continuous delivery with high software quality.
Responsibilities
Collaborating with programmers, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and resolving issues and ensuring solutions that are viable and consistent
Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints and databases
Use coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem with a custom workflow.
Perform incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered.
Knowledge of installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
Knowledge of TeamCity and Octopus Deployment
Exposure to Cloud Services
Analyse current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Understand the application, infrastructure and DevOps toolchain relationship, CI/CD pipeline, and scripts.
Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
Required Technical Skills:
Process oriented with an eye on continual improvement on overall efficiency
Help drive code health, testing, and maintainability
Understanding of CI/CD tools integration, change management, and maintenance
Awareness of version control (git) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD Pipelines, TeamCity, Octopus)
Should have an exposure to Deployment, Build and Release.
Exposure to automation frameworks
Experience with one or more of the following: JavaScript, Python, Go, Bash, or Perl.
Awareness of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes
Awareness of monitoring systems such as Prometheus
Knowledge of databases like SQL/MySQL/Postgres/MongoDB/ Redis, etc.
Qualification: Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Process-oriented with great documentation skills Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service Knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies BCA/ B.Sc. in in Computers/ B.Tech/B.E. Microsoft Certification AZ 303 and AZ 304 will be an advantage Experience with Cloud Providers. (Azure, AWS, Google) will be an advantage
