Inviting applications for the role of Sr Developer- Talend ETL with Hadoop Sr Data Engineer Developer
In this role, you would be part of the Technical Data Engineering team in Banking and financial domain. You will be responsible to independently build data integration pipeline around complex business rules and data available in the client owned or accessible systems. For these tasks, you would be encouraged to understand the business ask/problem, assess the scope, quantity and quality of the available data, prepare and build. You will be also be responsible to create data ingestion framework in Hadoop dataLake
Responsibilities
- Experience working with technology team and drive the solution.
- Work closely with Business and Technical Architect team to design the Data Integration pipeline
- Develop, code, tests, and debug highly complex ETL solutions using Talend
- Convert existing DataStage jobs and sequences to Talend as part of the ETL conversion project.
- Integrate data from different data sources like databases, csv files, xml files, queues, etc
- Write complex data transformation logic in Talend. Extensively create mappings, joins, sort, filters, logging, etc.in Talend using various components.
- Work in a team environment, interact with multiple groups daily, and guide other team members on Talend.
- Explore & recommend new innovative ideas in developing interfaces, in building common error handling and logging framework, context and Metadata management framework using Talend.
- Integrate data for batch, near real-time, real-time latencies
- Good understand of Data Lake environment and Hadoop eco system
- Knowledge Application and API connector through Talend
- Solid knowledge of database concepts. Oracle OR SQLSever OR DB2 OR Snowflake
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting
- Able to demonstrate experience with software engineering practices including CI/CD, Automated testing, and Performance Engineering.
- Experience with Agile development methodology.
- Good understanding and exposure on any Git, Bamboo, Confluence and Jira.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good to have knowledge on Data profiling, data quality.
- Team player, collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- Graduate/B Tech/MCA
- Knowledge/exp. of Banking or Capital Markets is an added advantage for this position
Preferred qualifications
- Strong hands-on core Talend .
- Extensive Experience on Data Analysis Projects
- Good Understating of Data-warehousing concepts (** Worked on Traditional Data warehouse projects, not just familiarity with any DB)
- Expertise in writing complex DB SQL Queries
- Experience on Hadoop, Python and Spark
- Good interpersonal, problem solving and verbal communication skills
- Good to have experience on web scrapping and transposing data from one form to other.
