Need an IT Delivery Manager

This role will provide leadership, whilst providing day to day oversight of the Developers and Solution Architect working on the Datacentre Strategy Application migration deliverables. The role will also embed and refine an agile, robust, and flexible approach to application migration into the Azure Cloud.

The role requires a proven track-record of co-ordinating complex, high-profile technology delivery in a global corporate environment.

Principle Accountabilities

Deliver IT solutions required for Group Technology Portfolio ensuring all projects conform to the Lloyd s project framework

o Define, document, and execute projects, actively participating in all phases of the delivery while adhering to project governance

o Work with internal Product and System Managers to prepare plans, reduce dependencies and oversee delivery from design to delivery

o Work with the internal Infrastructure and Operations team to prepare new technology environments, manage migrations and decommission obsolete infrastructure

o Work with the internal Architecture team to ensure the new designs minimise technical debt, meet operational requirements and follow Lloyd s Group Technology standards

o Work with the internal Security team to ensure the new environments meet current and emerging technology security standards

o Work with 3rd party delivery suppliers to manage the delivery of their solutions and to co-ordinate the dependencies and interfaces between those solutions

o Plan the delivery of assigned project tasks and the technology and process changes associated with these activities

o Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues, risk and impediments that may impact on the delivery of the project, coordinating where appropriate, the impact to other projects and / or services

Work with and support the Senior Project Manager to ensure that day to day delivery and remediation activities stay on track, on budget and escalate any issues

Work with Test Management teams to align with the portfolio wide testing including integration testing and user acceptance testing

Manage and control project changes, ensuring appropriate authorisation is received, project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, quality, resource budget, and the delivered products obtain the agreed sign off

Ensure own projects are formally closed and handed over to the designated support team with all required project documentation reviewed, post implementation reviews held

Technical Project Management Experience

Proven Project delivery skills working as part of a wider Project team

Excellent communication and reporting skills

Reporting up to Portfolio Board

Experience with management of budgets from 100k up to 5m

Management of 3rd Party resources / vendors

Stakeholder / Business relationship skills

Detailed knowledge of application migrations strategies

Expertise with MSP, RAID and management and resource allocation

Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Azure Cloud Migration and transformation projects

Excellent, pragmatic approach to risk and issue management

Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of business analysis techniques

Professional manner with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively

Academic Qualifications

Qualifications in project management or related technical field

Professional Qualification

Prince II, PMP or equivalent
