Experience level - 3-8 Years experience
Overview
The Android Mobile App Developer will be responsible for creating compelling concepts for customer products and offerings as well as engage user experience across varied platforms.:
- Native mobile application developer with a keen interest in all things mobile
- Guide the team in help them understand the logical flows in the mobile app and develop
- Work with the team towards the mobile applications scope and goals
- Effectively collaborate in the sprint execution the mobile application development
Responsibility
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Good knowledge and experience of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as touch
- Sound knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Good experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- A knack for bench marking and optimization
- Understanding of Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Kotlin development knowledge is added advantage
- Excellent communication skills oral and written
- Deliver across the entire app life cycleconcept, design, build, deploy, test, release to Google Play store & Apple app stores and support.
- Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects.
- Create compelling mobile device specific user interfaces and experiences.
- Optimizing performance for the mobile apps.
- Working with the teams to create and maintain a robust framework to support the mobile apps.
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.
Requirements
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code for Android
- Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) APIs to connect Android/iOS applications to back-end services
- Experience with cloud message APIs and FCM
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Store Kit, External Accessory, Core Bluetooth etc.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN, Bitbucket)
- Experience with working on Agile development, continuous integration and tools like JIRA
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs, Publishing apps to the app stores
- Good understanding of in-app purchases, GPS & Location systems, Bluetooth (BLE deceives)
