Job Description :
Role Proficiency:
Enables teams to empathise define model design prototype and test innovative product or service interfaces and interactions that delivers an exceptional customer experience. This is a multifaceted role that involves working collaboratively with user researchers product management and technology members of the agile product development teams with some guidance from Specialist I.
Outcomes:
  1. Perform customer research contextual enquiry market research and product benchmarking brand insights etc. Develop personas customer journeys and design guidelines
  2. Lead development of user personas based on customer research findings and integrate personas within deliverables such as customer journeys empathy maps opportunity maps etc.
  3. Supports development and coding of low-fidelity and high-fidelity mock-ups and interactive prototypes MVP beta and production-ready applications by designing user interface elements UX specifications and design systems and standards
  4. Drive the development of intended customer journeys that describe key aspects of a proposed experience and how it resolves customer hassles and pain points
  5. Lead creation of compelling visual representation of the solutions with intuitive interaction navigation and organization design i.e. concept models
  6. Lead participatory design user testing sessions and present findings and recommendations to cross functional teams and business stakeholders
  7. Responsible for the definition of product features through high-touch user research methods and techniques
  8. Practice design alongside multidisciplinary teams including product engineers product managers and business stakeholders and other designers
  9. Consideration of processes and practices with regards to user research design and usability studies
  10. Work with product teams in planning and execution of new product releases
  11. Guides and mentors a team of designers ensuring high quality design output
  12. Ensure career progression for Lead I Product Designers via focused mentoring and grooming.
  13. Set OKRs and success steps for self/ team and also provide feedback of goals to team members

Measures of Outcomes:
  1. Adherence to project schedule / timelines
  2. Number of design certification/ product certifications
  3. Personal achievement of quarterly/yearly objectives (OKR Assignments HIG Stretch goals)
  4. Number of proactive design contributions in PnP Initiatives
  5. Number of opportunities requiring a diversified skill set undertaken by the team (via cross-skilling of PnP Product Design team)
  6. Number of contributions towards Design Systems and Reusable Assets
  7. Number of usability issues for the designed products

Outputs Expected:
Plan to develop great products:
  1. Participate in ongoing design reviews and iterations
  2. Lead and participate in user research initiatives with research teams to understand customer problems identify and iterate on solutions.
  3. Work closely with product management in UX ideation and innovation.
  4. Own and drive product specifications creating mock-ups prototypes and designing fully functional products

Design to deliver great customer experience:
  1. Design delightful customer experiences throughout the touchpoints of customer journey
  2. Define user experience (e.g. wireframing customer journey maps service blueprints) partnering with product managers and business stakeholders
  3. Provide support to define great user stories by capturing and translating customer stories into product features that deliver value and delight to users

Research the market to ensure an unfair advantage:
  1. Understand users the marketplace the competition and future trends for the domain or type of system being developed through customer and market research competitive analysis by rapidly acquiring domain expertise
  2. Define and articulate unique product and business differentiation through delightful customer experiences

Manage great people:
  1. Lead teams communicate with diverse groups and influence change
  2. Motivate the design team to deliver the vision
  3. Prioritize delegate resolve and persuade
  4. Lead and contribute simultaneously to multiple product Initiatives

Use great technology:
  1. Deep understanding of usage of design technology platforms
  2. Use scrum / agile proficiency (backed up by CSPO / CSM certifications) to deliver projects

Employ great methods and tools in product design :
  1. Practice different design methodologies tools and approaches

  9. Ability to clearly articulate experience vision and design decisions through immersive techniques and mediums
