FPGA Software Engineer @ Alpha Design

Essential:

1. Design with RTL coding in Verilog and VHDL of RTL.
2. Optimizing code for FPGA architectures.
3. Experience using Vivado Design Suite and Simulation tools (Modelsim & ISim).
4. Excellent Board level debug capabilities in a lab environment: hands-on troubleshooting skills for digital logic and analog circuit on PCBs using oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, protocol exercisers and analyzers, integrated logic analyzers (e.g. Identify, Xilinx Chipscope, Signalscope, Logic Analyser, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyser).
5. Experience in projects that involves module design, system integration, Debugging: working with SPI, I2C, DAC and ADC converters, FPGA, SFP modules, USB,DDR3 & Flashes.

Desirable:

1. Possess an in-depth understanding of hardware architectures, system level IC design. implementation, knowledge of how to create end-use scenarios.
2. Experience using MATLAB tool and made devices (like Signal Generators, NI DAQ) communicate with PC using MATLAB.
3. Strong technical background in FPGA prototype emulation, and debug.
4. Strong technical background in silicon validation, failure analysis and debug.
5. Hands-on systems-level design and debug experience with the following high-speed serial communications protocols:
(i) SGMII, QSGMII and GMII
(ii) Serial Rapid IO
(iii) Optical Fiber Channel
6. Good knowledge of embedded processors and peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, Memories and USB
