Roles and Responsibilities

EXP: 4 YEARS OR MORE

KEY SKILLS: PYTHON/FLASK/DJANGO

Infrastructure Automation tools development

Capacity Planning

Syslog Management

Large scale DNS & email infrastructure

Puppet, Chef, CFEngine

Experience in a UNIX-based large-scale systems development role. - experience with Python, including language, standard libs, pythonic coding -

Experience in troubleshooting UNIX/Linux and experience with debugging tools. - Experience with networking (IP and IPv6, switching, routing, VLANs, rewalls, iptables, subnetting, anycast). -

Experience in any of the public cloud solutions at application setup level and beyond (Azure/AWS/GCP) -

Experience working with Flask, SQLAlchemy, and other frameworks -

Experience working at scale with thousands of systems in a DevOps/SRE role -

Hands on experience in maintenance Large scale DNS & email infrastructure - Experience developing CLI tools, and libs/modules - Experience with systems conguration management Puppet, Chef, CFEngine, etc
- In-depth understanding of Linux OS/Kernel and Systems fundamentals
- Design, develop and support tools, libraries, and web apps used as part of Infrastructure Tooling & Automation
- Develop automation tools to support growing infrastructure and provide reporting and APIs for various applications used at LinkedIn.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with core infrastructure services
- Support and test new software platforms - build testing methodologies & plans, conduct the POC
- Be third level escalation for Systems Infrastructure & Operation team supporting 12X7 LinkedIn production network.
- Develop quality code for automation with demonstrating highest bar of craftsmanship that will be executed across hundreds of thousands of hosts
- Audit software for potential security and performance problems
- Architect and develop conguration management policies
- Assist peers within Systems Engineering in development, code reviews, and policy writing
