Job Description:
Position: Senior Test Engineer (Performance Engineer)
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3+ years
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Extensive experience in performance testing and engineering; worked with various technologies (J2EE/Java, microservers etc.)
- Expert in implementing CICD Pipeline based executions using Jenkins/neoload setup.
- Deep understanding of architecture in order to gather Non-functional requirements
- Test Scenario design to validate the system s ability to provide service to achieve SLAs
- Hands-on in-web based scripts (Loadrunner/WebLoad/NeoLoad)
- Troubleshooting performance issues to identify the root cause and resolve issues
- Hands on experience to monitor Linux servers using commands
- Experience in programming languages and process automation
- APM tools knowledge (Appdynamics, Datadog)
- Strong understanding on internals of Java/.Net apps, Garbage Collection, Thread and heap dumps analysis
- Strong knowledge on internals of databases like oracle/sqlserver/postgres.
- Proficient with version control software (E.g. GitHub) and issue/project tracking software (E.g. Jira)
- Code design and reviews to ensure performance best practices are embedded in design.
- Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and data analysis/validation
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Ability to leverage industry best practices
- Manages process improvements and adoption of new technologies
- Proficient in scripting languages like perl/shell/python
Responsibilities:
- Strategy creation and setting up performance test environment, test data, performance monitoring required for the project
- Managing CICD Pipeline test execution and resolving the issues within the pipeline code
- Knowledgeable of application architecture in order to finalize performance test scope
- Communicate project status, progress on project issue resolution and ensure effective process improvement feedback
- Devise the non-functional requirements and interact with stakeholders for the confirmation
- Performance and Scalability testing plans, approaches, timelines & resourcing plan creation
- Performance testing scripts creation from testing tools (i.e. Neoload, webload and LoadRunner) based on the requirements
- Development, execution and maintenance of test scenarios & test scripts (exercise production-like scenarios) to ensure change is optimized for performance and free from defects to ensure optimal customer experience
- Should be well versed with Docker Container Architecture.
- Monitor server utilization through system commands, as well as Appdynamics, Datadog etc.
- Analyze test results to provide insight and direction to project teams and DevOps engineers to resolve performance and scalability issues
- Organize & retain project/technical knowledge with a thorough knowledge management process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focus on business user
- Automate the routine tasks and metrics collection using scripting languages like perl/shell/python

- Hands on experience in analyzing memory and CPU issues with thread and heap dumps
- Hands on experience in operating/working on Linux based machines
- Hands on experience in fine tuning JVM based web/app servers (Tomcat, WebLogic)
- Hands on experience on CI tools such as Jenkins, AWS CLI
- Hands on experience working with any of the APM tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace
- Hands on experience in analyzing AWR reports, explain plans etc (Or any equivalent DB tuning techniques)
- Hands on experience with any of the cloud tech? (AWS, Azure, GCP)
