Profile :-
Prepare for shift by checking production status with previous shift's Production Engineer/Supervisor and the production targets for the shift
Conduct pre-shift meeting;check for absentees anddecide necessary adjustments in distributing job assignments
Plan and schedule shift production/fabrication activities, allocate work for achieving targets and follow them strictly to get the maximum output after ensuring all material supplies are adequate for shift operation
Arrange for tooling, fixtures, gauges, measuring instruments and drawings, job cards, assist operators in activities like CNC programming, setting process& tools, tooling parameters and fixture setting
Contact each operator several times during the shift; observe process control points; check machines for proper operation and use of safety devices
Monitor movement and storage of materials/WIP/scrap during processing to ensure that mixing of material grades does not take place
Check that all the documentation required as per procedural requirements is completed
