Job Role
As a proven technology leader, you demonstrate capabilities of deep product and technology design thinking at the core. You should have worked on multiple releases of software that are bringing in a combination of functional and technical improvements, modernizing the product, easing deployments, and addressing major customer dissatisfactions. While the skills are modern and demanding, the role is one of learning, educating, adapting, and nurturing these capabilities in a way that large-scale adoption in a product organization is possible. You are seen as an architect that is fully hands-on with the ability to evolve a roadmap, transform legacy to microservices and guide the team on how they can realize the goal by doing it first. You are up to as a coach, troubleshooter, and inspiration as a go-getter with loads of expertise and experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own the product design decisions.
- Drive implementation of the design.
- Evolve product architecture in the process of migrating from a monolith to a service-oriented architecture.
- Work with product managers and other stakeholders to understand the user and organization needs.
- Define the ideal and right architecture and enable teams to build products using the same.
- Own the QoS parameters and the non-functional requirements including performance, security, scalability, usability, and maintainability (including governance, data security, and compliance).
- Own up all critical customer escalations on performance, scalability, security etc. and bring to resolutions in a way that it improves the overall system.
- Drive TCO-based decisions on architecture.
- Since you are passionate about software, you indulge in coding, doing code reviews, refactoring, and helping teams to refactor their code.
- Mentor team members.
- Drive engineering culture that is based on metrics and passion for excellence.
- SaaS product development experience for a large part of the career.
- Should have hands-on experience in developing, designing, and architecting SaaS applications/platforms for large enterprises.
- Transformation of product from a monolith to a service-oriented architecture using micro services as needed.
- Demonstrated experience with identifying right architecture for each parts of the system. Ability to call out specific technologies, frameworks that are to be used along with patterns to be adopted at the level of each service/micro-service.
- Hands-on experience with Java stack, Angular/React,
- Hands on experience with cloud stack such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka etc.
- Ability to articulate and document design that is self-explanatory.
- Use best practices and patterns to solve problems for maintainability and scale.
- 15+ years of experience in software development with most time in building large scale software systems or platforms.
- Expert level expertise with using RDBMS and NOSQL.
- Experience with using AWS/Azure extensively.
- Demonstrated experience in managing QoS parameters for cloud scale cloud both and design and run-time on cloud operations covering areas like security performance, scalability.
- Experience using APM/other monitoring/profiling tools and numbers driven approach for making architectural and design choices is a must.
- Experience with handling environments to adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements as part of developing systems and implementing them.
- Involved in building/ modernizing platforms/ applications for large-scale deployments.
- Prior experience with working with Salesforce APIs is a nice to have.
- BE/BTech/MCA/MTech
- TOGAF certification is nice to have.
- AWS certifications are nice to have.
