Position : Product Head
Location : Either Gurgaon Or Pune
Desired Qualities:
Team development. This is the single most important responsibility of the Head of Products. We are looking for people with the proven ability to develop others in their teams by helping them address their weaknesses and by exploiting their strengths.
Execution. The Product Head must be an expert in product planning, product discovery, and product development. They must be able to work efficiently within a company of 100+ people and easily manage stakeholders and keep their teams motivated.
Culture. A good product leader understands the value of strong product culture drawing from their own experiences. They will have a concrete plan for infusing such a culture in their teams.
Experience. Experience working in the power sector domain is preferred. The product head would also have a strong technological background and be able to ramp up quickly on the economics and dynamic of the power sector.
Synergy. The Head of Products must be able to work well with peers such as the CEO, heads of technology, data sciences, and sales.
Role Requirements :
He is expected to work with a team of product managers and designers. They are ultimately responsible for the success of the product, its scalability and robustness. The Product Head will ensure that the company builds products that provide sustainable and long-term value to the business and the customers and that the trade-offs between delivery, costs and business urgency are balanced optimally.
This position reports to the CEO and is at par with other functional heads of the company such as Head of Technology, Head of Data Sciences and Head of Marketing and Sales.
Product Strategy. The product head is accountable for the roadmap, resourcing, and development budget for all products and projects of the company. They ensure that the product design and features are scalable and require near-zero iteration once rolled out.
Release Management. The Product Head thinks critically and prioritizes projects and features in the context of dependencies and well-crafted epics and stories. They are responsible for regular and timely release of all products and features, and ultimate owners of the product backlogs.
Product Integrity. The Product Head will review stories for inclusion into the baseline by checking if it meets all acceptance criterias. They must ensure that any new feature does not compromise the technological integrity of their products and that each feature is fully tested before roll-out.
Team Building. The Product Head will train existing members and hire new folks to create a team of professionals with a product excellence mindset.
Monitoring outcomes. The Product Head will set KPIs for the products and the product teams to monitor frequently and assess areas of improvement.
Top Evangelist. The Product Head ensures that his team is communicating the product vision to all stakeholders frequently and appropriately. This includes ensuring that each roll-out has been well researched, documented and shared with relevant teams and the purpose and outcomes of each PSI is clear to all stakeholder.s

10+ years of experience managing products
Where you will work:
Either in Gurgaon or in Pune, India. Our offices are currently closed due to COVID and you will
work from home, unless your physical presence is required.
