Job Description

Minimum Qualification- BE / Diploma (Mech).
Minimum Experience- About 5-9 years in reputed organization.
Exposure-
Mech bought outs - Mechanical bought outs Conveyor Rollers, Aluminium Extrusions, Cutting Tools, Spares, Bearings, chains & sprockets, hand tools, hardware, Industrial Paints, Powder, Welding consumables, Machine shop consumables, Caster wheels, impact sockets, Torque Wrenches, Gauges, Wire Ropes etc.
Raw Material - Steel commodities including Sheets, Plates, Structural, Pipes, Bars, Alloys, Aluminium sheets, Polymer sheets, Import Raw material etc.
Candidate Requirement:
Experience in Project based company.
Exposure to Machine tool/ SPM Machine mfg., Heavy & Light Fabrication, Sheet metal parts.
Key Responsibilities-
Keep continuous watch on commodity market prices.
Ability to handle procurement of approximate 4,000 to 5,000 metric tonnes of steel per year.
Should be well conversant with various steel grades and equivalent international grades.
Working knowledge of international steel market, import rules & regulations and import procedure.
Should know the market trends and be able to negotiate hard.
Work closely with design & PPC and work out forecast purchases.
Liaison on daily basis with design and PPC.
Review Indent, prioritize urgencies & initiate procurement process.
Ensure on-time Procurement at optimum cost.
Submission of weekly, Monthly and Quarterly MIS report.
Be able to effectively review with suppliers on daily basis ensuring on time supplies.
Resolve queries related to procurements with Stores, QC & Accounts on daily basis.
Analyze & define Reorder level database & get it set from superior.
Timely escalation of any issues to immediate boss & pursue until it gets resolved.
Achieve adequate inventory management by suggesting nearest alternative available in excess, cost effective alternates (makes).
Execution of assign task as per guidelines of management
Utilization / liquidation efforts on Excess inventory
