Job Description
Job Title: Staff Engineer- TestingWork Location: Gurugram, India
Duration: Full-time
Job Summary:
Designs validate and bring new products to market. Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Designs develop, executes, and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials. Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. Utilizes CAD (Computer-Aided Design) or CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgment in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. The job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires the ability to make judgments based on practice and previous experience. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and no experience.

What you will do:
As part of this role, the incumbent needs to identify strategic direction to the test team along with contributing to delivering by planning/executing with a focus on defining and applying innovative test strategies for both manual and automation testing. You would be expected to lay out a path for solving challenges across test environments, test infrastructure, and test automation frameworks including strategizing test releases for cloud/on-prim-based products/solutions.
What you need:
- Able to coordinate with all disciplines of various R&D business units with a major focus on cross-product test requirements.
- Solid understanding and work experience on client-server Enterprise Architecture(cloud/on-prem), Cloud Computing Concepts, Web Technology, SAS.
- Drive end to end test releases to plan/prioritize/strategize/estimate & execute in accordance with project scope/timelines.
- Reviews functional specs/designs identify end-to-end use cases and provide feedback to the Product Owner. Investigates and implements new testing methods and tools in order to maximize & optimize appropriate test mechanisms (functional, performance, automatic, regression..)improve the verification efficiency through automation.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies/best practices to produce quality test artifacts that enable the delivery of a world-class quality software solution.
- Build advanced integration, functional, and automation test framework/suites to exercise the application at respective levels, and help bake quality into the product right from the beginning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to perform POC's to identify new tools, Hardware, solutions required during release cycles.
- Creation of system integration test cases and make them traceable back to the system requirements, feature lists, and design documents.
- Experience in Performance & Security testing(familiarity with security concepts, TLS, FIPS, etc.) with a good understanding of tools & performance parameters.
Automation/Technical skills:
- Experience working with CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies, and tools such as git, Jenkins, etc., and extensive experience with Test Automation tools such as Selenium, VSTS Coded UI.
- Hands-on experience in developing Test Automation Harnesses/Tools
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PowerShell
- Conduct code reviews, with constant high-quality code review feedback for the code written by software developers.
- Strong experience in Automating Web applications designed in AngularJS, WebAPI, etc.
- Act as Data Steward while being able to prepare test data with necessary support from BA/PO.
- Well-versed with Cloud architecture and deployment with Azure and collaborate with developers to improve testability, automation, and tools.
- Hands-on experience on AWS/Azure microservices testing, Distributed systems, cloud computing, and cloud controllers and experience with Dockers, containers orchestration platform such as Kubernetes.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with Medical Device standards like IEC60234 & 21CFR Part 11.
- Prior experience in designing fixtures to test hardware integration will be a big plus.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities targeting complicated problems in the remote system
- Excellent documentation with written & verbal communication skills.
- Must be flexible, fast learner, independent and self-motivated.
- Problem Solving attitude with a zeal to come up with product improvements suggestion and to work on feasibility challenges.
