Job Description: Technology Manual Testing (QA) Engineer

Role Description

by a large financial services company. We have previously built and sold companies backed
by top Global VCs such as Y-Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners etc.
We are looking to build a young dynamic team with a growth mindset and a passion for
building a platform that simplifies investing for everyone.
We are actively looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute manual
and automated tests to ensure high product quality, and thereby play an important part in our
product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for executing extensive
testing before product launches to ensure excellent customer experiences. If you hold an
engineering background and enjoy solving software quality problems, wed like to meet you.

Key Responsibilities
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
Liaise with internal teams to identify new business and system requirements
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Develop and apply manual testing processes to meet high quality standards
Write and execute API test scripts with Postman
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Qualifications: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Min 1yr experience in Mobile App testing and API testing with Postman
Experience with Selenium and frameworks like TestNG, Log4j, etc is a plus
Experience with performance, smoke and security testing is a plus
Proven work experience in software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Passion for software engineering and a history of self-learning
