Technical Leader - Bengaluru/bangalore @ McAfee

Role Overview:

McAfee is hiring for technical lead who will drive important elements through core POC/design/development of Firewall As a Service.
In addition, support the technical leadership/drive for McAfee Web Protection and Connectivity components including IPSEC/GRE/SDWAN/Mobile support.

About the role :

• You will drive important modules/epics, develop POC s, support end to end workflows, design and active research.
• You will have end-to-end ownership of features/functions and modules including development, testing and automation of functional and non-functional.
• Should be able to lead one line requirement into detailed technical specifications with committed analysis.
• Should be able to come up with innovative design ideas to solve business problems.
• Should be able to analyze feature requirements and assist with design documentation.
• Should be able to analyze customer issues and provide resolution/workaround.
• Ability to analyze / architect / design / develop / automate in Cloud/Hybrid deployments.
• Have a clear vision for architecture of the product and future roadmap.
• Should have strong innovative mindset and work towards product/process innovations.
• Identifies, recommends, coordinates, deliver timely knowledge to the teams regarding technologies, processes, and tools.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• 12 - 18 years of professional work experience with good programming skills in C++ with exposure to leadership skills.
• Strong experience in object-oriented programming with C++
• 6+ years of development experience on Linux is mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Technical Leader.
• Solid understanding of OS internals preferably Windows And/or Mac OS.
• Project experience in developing complex multi-threaded applications.
• Experience with Docker or cloud deployment technologies
• Excellent knowledge of common Internet/Networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SSL, UDP, SOCKS)
• Development experience with Cloud/SaaS deployments is strongly desired
• Candidates with prior experience in developing software for security/networking products will be preferred.
• Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.
• Outside the box thinker. Applies innovation and creativity to provide solutions for complex problems in a time sensitive and fast-paced environment.
• Should be flexible in learning and working with different platforms and technologies
• Experience with Quality aspects and testing/automation/scripting is desired
