Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate good business acumen in Public Cloud, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) component of Cloud Service Strategy.
- Working on cloud opportunities, product presentation to customers as & when required, also from techno-commercial perspective
- Define product pricing, SKU strategy & documentation to launch new services
- Work closely with Hardware and Software OEMs on optimization and negotiation.
- Lead and operationalize Enablement programs to communicate value proposition of the product to sales teams.
- Collaborate with marketing team on special offers roll out; Orchestrate effective marketing promotions to drive revenue
- Manage across different functions involved during service implementation
- Develop strategy and design programs that drive demand for public cloud.
- Own the product end-to-end: from launch to development and upgrades and product roadmap, build cost and profitability models
- Materializing our strategy for parts of the product portfolio in the latest technology areas. Contribute in various aspects of product definition and complementing development tasks such as POC, testing or UI reviews
- Create relevant rollout / enabling material and conduct training sessions, GoTo Market with the Communications and Marketing team
- Supporting customer-facing activities such as customer / partner workshops or events
- Facilitate commercial and legal aspects especially in case of a new product launch
- Supporting and driving the product P&L with various business planning activities, at times cost reviews, pricing delegations and other efficient pricing strategies
- Driving the product portfolio independently from an organizational focus perspective playing a team player role in leveraging the internal and external resources and support to drive the product strategy.
- Ensure a market driven whole product offering and establish competitive and profitable pricing models, track competition
- Applicant should have following skillset & experience.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in developing product positioning and market development strategies
- Attention to detail is a must, Positive and proactive attitude, team player, Stakeholder management
- Should be able to liaise & negotiate with internal teams to define the product
- Should be able to provide techno commercial inputs and position the offerings in RFPs as required
- Strong technical background; a marketing degree or an MBA in marketing is preferred, but not essential
- Datacenter domain knowledge, Cloud architecture, IT Infrastructure components - Basic technical understanding of Hypervisors like VMware, RHEV, KVM, HyperV, underlying hardware, Datacenter services Market knowledge is a must.
