Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

1 Reviews surgical records and assigned accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.

2 Assigns and sequence codes accurately based on medical record documentation.

3 Follows all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) rules and regulations.

4 Review audit findings and share rebuttals.

5 Thorough understanding and application of medical necessity and denials for processing the charts.

6 Involves in ensuring data integrity including appropriate sequencing and dispositions, resolving all coding edits prior to finalizing the charts, compliant with United States Local and Federal Regulations.

7 Continuing education for ICD10 with Elsevier modules, staying current with coding clinics, and revised codes.

8 Keeps current with all coding updates/changes through Coding Clinics and literature.

9 Querying physicians regarding incomplete documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Candidates with minimum 6 months -1 years of HCC coding experience only need to apply
