Job Description
Network Design/Implementation Engineer
- Experience working on network engineering projects which includes Network Implementation and Network Design.
Experience in Switching and Routing on Cisco (and other brands) devices HPN devices, deployment and support experience on Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) in an enterprise environment
Experience working on Aruba (and other brands) wireless network engineering design and troubleshoot operational issues related to their implementation
Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities
Fully competent to design Local Area Network connections in a complex and large scale datacenter.
Knowledge on WAN technologies like Leased Lines, MPLS, etc.
knowledge of process design techniques and demonstrates ability to follow quality assurance processes..
Work with customers and peers to develop solutions using approved network hardware and networking best practices.
Creation of HLD (High Level Design) and LLD (Low Level Design).
Build Implementation Plan and coordinate in raising the Change Request.
Perform Peer-Review of Engineering Work Orders (EWO) and represent CAB/TAB review for the approvals.
Prepare Pre/Post Implementation Testing.
Work with Technical Project Managers to understand project priorities and help sequence network engineering components accordingly
Coordinate change management activities and process steps to install or decommission network hardware. This will include associated cabling work, electrical, and space planning coordination.
Attend conference calls as requested to explain Changes and/or gain approvals.
Maintain all records as requested (e.g. IP addresses, Project Tool status, drawing).
Log time worked weekly in tool (currently DXCs CATW)
