Our client is a specialist in providing a range of leading edge remote 24x7x365 managed services.
Work Location: Chennai
Openings: 1x Service Delivery Engineer (L2 position): 3 to 6 years experience
Roles & Job Responsibility
- English skills of the candidate need to be good. He must be able to understand and communicate effectively with a Native English speaker
- Knowledge on Installation, Configuration and Administration of Commserve
- Installation and configuration of Media, Clients and Database agents
- Scheduling of New Backups/ Modifying existing Jobs & Metrics Report Installation
- Backup Monitoring and Performing Restores
- Hands-on experience of application backups (SQL, SharePoint, Oracle, Exchange, AD & VM Backup)
- Produce regular reports for management.
- Knowledge on De-duplication & Log analysis for troubleshooting
- Participation in DR tests
- Planning for Media rotation, Management and Offsite Movement
- Experience monitoring, investigating and fixing disk issues in different types of RAID configurations.
- Experience in knowledge on configuring & troubleshooting different types of tape libraries.
- Experience working in 24/7, high availability Data Centre environments and on-call support responsibilities.
- Experience in performance tuning and capacity planning
- Performing Root cause analysis
- Must be a Service and Customer orientated team player and should work as part of a team which may be virtual, global, and/or multi-functional.
- Good knowledge on ITIL Process (Incident, Problem, Request & Change Management)
- KB preparation and review, Knowledge sharing (Training / Mentoring) & documentation
- Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
- Flexible, self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure in an International and culturally diverse organization.
- Working knowledge on TCP/IP, DNS, Network, WAN and LANs
- Working Knowledge on Unix and Linux platforms
- Working Knowledge on Security/networks or storage platforms will be an added benefit for the candidate.
Required Qualification and Experience
- BE/B-Tech/Diploma/Graduate (Essential)
- ITIL certified (added advantage)
- CV certification (added advantage)
- Windows/Unix or Networking certification (added advantage)
