Job Description
Our client is amongst Indias top healthcare services provider, especially in the area of emergency services. It was a pioneer in running state wide ambulance services picking up serious patients from the remotest corners of a location and getting him to a nearby hospital in the fastest possible time. The service is funded by state governments and the company runs and manages the operations totally including a 24- hour local language central call centre. The Company currently runs the operation in several states such as MP, UP, ORISSA, Punjab, Jharkhand etc. It has plans to cover more areas in the near future. Job Grade: VP/General Manager
Reports to: CEO
Location: Dadar, Mumbai, Maharashtra
Job Purpose
The job will mainly focus on ensuring that each location is fully and properly staffed and has systems and processes for proper management of people. Each Location has its own HR Head and HR Team(s) and they will look up to corporate HR for regular guidance and support. Employee Relations will be a key part of the role as with such a large workforce which is unionised at multiple locations, there are regular fires that need to be put out. This requires the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic and tactical long term IR strategies along with suitable short term proactive actions to maintain industrial peace and harmony. Development of HR plans for talent acquisition and management which is aligned to business along with overseeing the Administration Function at the Corporate Office and various Branches will be other key roles.
Person Profile
To establish and lead these activities, we are looking for a person with strong functional knowledge of IR & HR systems & processes, who is self- motivated and has a proven track record of HR & IR operations, management. He should be capable of developing new and innovative strategies for establishing the values, culture and ethos that the business needs, all the time working in a diplomatic and practical manner to ensure that People are fully engaged in the organization.
The Head - HR should preferably be a Graduate with HR/IR specialisation with 15+ years of experience. Strategic thinking and entrepreneurial ability along with superior communication skills are required for the post.
