Job Role
AutoRABIT is seeking a UI/UX Design Manager to lead the UI/UX Design team as part of the Product Engineering Department. The UI/UX Design Manager will define and drive the future of AutoRABIT product design, by owning the user experience vision and philosophy, envisioning complex UX ecosystems, building inspired design system, and leading individuals to push the boundaries of what is possible. The UI/UX Design Manager is a leadership position within the Product Engineering Department and will have 3-5 direct reports, but will lead many others with their influence.
The successful candidate will be a creative problem-solver, someone who dares to dream big and has the courage to pursue those dreams. You have fluency in written and verbal English and you are comfortable and productive working independently with minimal supervision. This position will report to the VP of Product Management & Technology. The ideal candidate will have a background in DevOps.
Roles & Responsibilities
- As part of the Product Engineering leadership team you will be expected to lead the product vision and strategy for UX. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, marketing professionals and customers to define strategy and champion the user experience.
- Manage all aspects of UX and Visual Design execution and create elegantly simple user experiences for complex workflows based on cognitive design. Deliver actionable wireframe prototypes and production-ready graphical assets.
- Establish the UX design system, principles, and best practices in core user research, usability, workflow, accessibility, persona development, experience journey maps and prototyping.
- Provide management and drive UX deliverables from the design team by setting direction, identifying priorities, assigning resources, tracking progress, and critiquing designs and deliverables for quality.
- Conduct deep analysis of current and competitive products to develop a holistic view, guide UX design strategy and identify essential areas of impact to enhance the user experience.
- Translate data, competitive analysis, and partner feedback into relevant UX design goals.
- Facilitate design thinking workshops, and design sprints working with multiple stakeholders to drive empathy for the user, and identify ways to address unmet needs and create delight
- Set and review OKR goals with the managers and manage them towards achieving performance while developing the team members against our essential competencies including product expertise, DevOps skills, business awareness etc.
- You will also take time to understand the performance side of design and the business aspects of the products. Lead our effort with Pendo and working with cross functional teams. Create reports for monitoring user experience and acceptance and create metrics for visibility.
- A suitable candidate will have 8+ years of experience in design, preferably in DevOps, Development or Workflow oriented consumer applications with 5+ years direct management experience of designers and or developers. Experience in SaaS application delivery is preferred.
- 5+ years agency, in-house or start-up design experience and interactive work.
- 2+ years experience working using Agile methodology.
- 1+ years experience using Figma.
- Experience with modern design productivity and research tools, design-thinking tools, and or prototyping tools is a must. Be familiar with Lean UX and Design Thinking
- Ability to challenge status quo and speak up. Must have excellent collaboration and relationship management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Expert-level knowledge of current trends, technology, communications, experience, art and other design influences.
- Passion for innovation and technology with a solid understanding of digital tools, trends, and infrastructure. We prefer experience with DevOps.
- Experience leading and mentoring multiple designers on large-scale projects
- Experience with delivery of Salesforce applications and Salesforce release management is preferred.
- BA/BS in design, development, or a related field with a Masters degree preferred.
