1. Develop and implement best practices in the Microfinance Business Segment & supervise the checks/controls across the locations.
2. Manage & supervise the portfolio to ensure overall quality, effective delinquency management & stable book growth. Take necessary steps to reduce critical delinquencies and bounce rates including preparation of presentations & presenting the findings to Senior Management as part of Retail Risk review, Risk Management Committee etc.
3. Monitoring portfolio triggers, actions to be taken wherever breached and timely updation to senior management on the action taken.
4. Evaluate new product development & policy amendments in the assigned area in accordance with the best standards and market practices.
5. Regular and timely review of policies, amendment to policies, products, processes, Delegation of Authority incl. Consolidation of Microfinance business credit policies from risk management perspective, in line with best industry practices.
6. Evaluate the quality & effectiveness of branch underwriting skills, vendors functioning including empanelled Business Correspondents, wherever applicable, regulatory compliance as well as the compliance of internal policy norms and strive for continual improvement in conformation with organization standards of best quality and services excellence.
7. Conduct Process Audits, Score Card reviews on a regular basis, wherever applicable. Regular Data analysis to assess the portfolio performance v/s stipulated triggers as per the approved Credit policy and to provide regular feedback to the business on the same.
8. Provide inputs on system capability and other processes within a reasonable TAT incl. check on data quality of the portfolio on need basis.
9. Branch / location visitation on a regular basis and evaluate the branch / location portfolio quality and adherence to the policy norms.
10. Conduct regular meetings for Policy trainings to various Business teams incl. Credit, Sales and Operations basis including employees of Business Correspondents, wherever applicable, spreading Risk awareness in the team and assess effectiveness of the rolled out Policies/ processes.
11. To develop risk scoring and pricing models for these businesses for the purpose of decision making and pricing. Should have good understanding of statistics and practical knowledge of development and implementation of risk scoring and pricing models.
12. Develop sound risk management framework for Microfinance business driven by technology & high end risk analytics. Use the analytics to track early warning measures, suggest and implement corrective action so as to maintain good quality portfolio.
