We are Hiring for Backend Python Developer
Role Description
Are you a Backend developer who loves building high performance web and mobile applications Come join our team at Glide Invest and help us build amazing things in the Fintech space. We are a well-funded startup thats sponsored by a large financial services company. We have previously built and sold companies backed by top Global VCs such as Y- Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners etc. We are looking to build a young dynamic team with a growth mindset and a passion for building great software.
WearelookingforanambitiousandexperiencedBackendDevelopertobepartofourproduct development team. You will primarily build and implement the backend in Python3 and Django, and be flexible to work with other backend technologies and databases. You will work closely with the Tech team to ensure system consistency, code quality and bestpractices.
Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable applications that you would be proud to showcase to your own friends and family.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
Work collaboratively with PM, designers, engineers andtesters
Write clean, efficient, maintainable and reusable code and libraries and APIs
Write complex logic with pandas and other python libraries for time seriescalculations
Write well-tested RESTful backend APIs that service the frontend with JSON
Design robust, scalable and secure features fit for the Fintechspace
Troubleshoot and debug applications through extensive unit testing
Constantly drive innovation and improvements in theplatform
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Qualifications: B.Sc Comp Sys or Diploma in CS from NIIT or a renownedinstitute
For Jr role: Min 1yr of S/W development experience with exposure to backenddev
For Mid role: Min 3yrs experience building web apps with python 3 andDjango
Teamwork skills with a problem-solvingattitude
Experience working in an Agile developmentenvironment
Passion for software engineering and a history of self-learning (Githubrepo)
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, programming, and testingpatterns
Working knowledge of Djangos Restframework
Experience with code versioning and unit testing tools amust
Experience with Message Queues like RabbitMQ and concepts ofCaching
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker aplus
Experience with cloud infrastructure tools in AWS and Google Cloud aplus
Understanding of mobile/web application development process aplus
