Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Summary
Be a part of the offshore team supporting the analytics team of a global retailer. Develop an understanding of the client s business environment and support them in the execution of their data and analytics strategies for loyalty, campaign management, product portfolio analysis and any other dimensions for which there is a need from a technology perspective. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of solutions on top of the AWS platform and play a key role as a key technology pivot
Job Responsibilities
- Work with the delivery team and business partners to understand requirements, complete solution design (data engineering, data warehousing and BI solutions), development and ultimate delivery to the end consumers in an agile manner
- Work as a fulcrum with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources (example: excel, csv, parquet, avro, json etc.) using SQL (Redshift, Oracle) and ability to use a major programming (e.g. Java/C) and/or a scripting language (Python) to process data for modelling
- Communicate and document solutions and design decisions
- Perform integration of multiple data source-formats into master data load
- Design and Deploy code (ETL AWS Glue, EMR & ELK) and machine images on AWS platform to create and improve our existing data tools
- Clear knack towards future-proof automation at scale and technology eco-system to continuous integrate evolving user and business needed (as well as new data pipelines)
Additional Information
The role involves cloud data solutions/ applications development. Exposure to work in analytics practices will be an added advantage.

Qualifications and Must Have Skills
- MS/BS degree in a computer science field or related discipline
- Robust general programming skills
- Data Warehousing and ETL development
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, Elastic Search, Glue, ELK, Sagemaker, Athena and Redshift & DynamoDB.
At least one End-2-end production deployment experience
- Knowledge of scripting for automation (Python/ spark/SQL)
- Experience with engineering in the Cloud on AWS
- Experience processing massive structured , unstructured & streaming data sets
- Proficient in the Linux CLI
- Experience with Open source libraries and tools such as Spring, Maven, Eclipse, IntelliJ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good to Have Skills
- Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem or distributed database architecture
- Knowledge of No-SQL DB like Elastic Search,Cassandra, Hbase, MongoDB etc
- Working knowledge of other cloud platforms like Azure, Google Cloud etc
- Working knowledge on product development, ML/AI solutions in big data environment
- Experience in business stake holder management and consulting

- 8 + years in designing, developing scalable , reliable data intensive applications
