Job Description
In this position, you will work with your team to estimate the costs of construction projects. Your team will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities, and project timelines and providing this information to clients. Youll seek to minimize the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality. You'll prepare estimates and costs of the work and when the project is in progress, you'll keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs.
Responsibilities
- prepare and analyze project cost for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor and time
- minimize the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality
- Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects and negotiate contracts and work schedules.
- perform risk, value management and cost control during construction
- undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
- your team will select and/or source construction materials
