Senior Systems Administrator in Linux @ Brandmuscle

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Installation, Configuration and Administration and Remote Monitoring of Solutions around Ubantu and Red Hat/ Cent OS Linux Servers 
•  Administration of Linux Cluster Servers Apache
• Hands-On experience in Managing using AWS Services like VPC, EC2, RDS S3, etc.
•  Demonstrate a high degree of creativity in performing tasks by identifying, proposing, implementing and streamlining activities to reshape technology and processes
•  Migration of CentOS/ Red Hat Linux Server environments from Older to Newer Generation based systems
•  Handle the responsibilities of being a Technical Interface for the Business Unit.
•  Carry out SUSE and Red Hat Linux Server Build/ Server De-commissioning Activities.
•  Conduct Periodic Server/ Cluster Performance Analysis and fine-tune Server Performance
•  Plan and Implement Time-bound Projects within the line of support viz. System Upgrades, Patch Management, Migrations etc.
•  Execute Incident management, Change Management, Problem management and other service management functions in line with ITIL Standards
•  Server Capacity Management
• Linux Security and deployment planning
• Supporting AWS Cloud Computing infrastructure.

Requirements

• B.E or B.Tech in computer Science or Electronic or Equivalent.
• Candidate must have 5-7 years of experience with Linux servers in Cloud and ON premise virtualized environments 
• Experience with RedHat based Linux distributions such as RHEL, AMI, Ubantu, CentOS or Fedora.
• Strong understanding of Linux security best practices and forensic techniques, eg, tcpdump, wireshark, iptables, ipset.
• Should have good knowledge of Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) installation, customization, and maintenance. 
• Good Knowledge and experience on web servers Apache.
• Providing excellent customer service with internal customers.
• Weekend support On-call support 24x7.
• Good Production support knowledge
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
