Job PurposeBe part of a leading healthcare primary market research team working with brand teams across the globe, as part of Novartis longer term strategic plan, to bring a new innovative products to those in need.
This role provides the opportunity to work in collaboration with global and regional brand teams, brand insight teams and marketing teams spanning the full suite of Novartis products throughout their lifecycle stages. The role is part of the success factor to business growth and launch impact across pre-launch and growth brands.
Influence Novartis products strategy and performance, managing a high number of senior stakeholders to:
Infuse patient and customer centricity and insights into brand strategies
Influence and shape key business growth priorities in the brand strategy
Drive and strengthen a one-team culture across internal partners to achieve a forward-looking insights team
Bring continuous improvement, foster innovation and provide rigorous activity assessments
Share learnings and best practices within and across the Franchises
The MR manager will support combining information from different sources, mainly market research, to evaluate brands performance and market trends using innovative statistical analysis techniques. Evaluating the success of marketing initiatives through market research with significant focus on ensuring tight alignment with global teams, new product development and country insights teams.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic
Support colleagues in Novartis to make strategic decisions through data based insights
Implement innovation through adopting new techniques, data sources, automation and Al to enhance process efficiency and value of Insights.
Leadership
Understands perspectives (objectives, priorities, and support/capability requirements)
Serve as an integral partner for teams that support colleagues across Novartis
Provide thought leadership and credibility in defining innovative MR strategy methodologies
Enhance insights
Subject matter expert in MR who can identify and implement innovate, industry leading primary market research approaches
Consistently monitor execution of MR projects to support performance and growth of key brand strategies across Novartis
Design and execute primary market research to surface and deliver insights
Establish expectations and approaches to better understand and impact patient journeys
Elevate Business Analytics and business optimization
Synthe data and insights from analytics to support decision making
Maintain accountability and ownership for all MRs executed
Incorporate novel data sources and apply advanced analytics to optimize outputs
Operational
Support development implementation of innovative MR execution
Plan and design market research analyses based on a sound understanding of the research tools, techniques, datasets, and resources available and their use at various stages of the product life-cycle
Planning of studies, including research material design
Input and guide report structure to illustrate complex analysis in user friendly and easy to digest way
Provide alternative proposals/different approaches and suggestions for optimization of approach and synergies with other studies executed or planned
Support implementation and execution of studies on local, regional & global level
Implement new statistical methodologies, processes and/or solutions to strengthen current research practices
Foster a culture of innovation
Meet KPIs tied to performance and operational efficiency
What youll bring to the role
8+ years previous work in market research / specialist agencies
Experience of managing multi-methodology market research projects encompassing multi-markets
Experience in working across regions and within a commercial, primary market research team and the ability to work with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.
Project management scoping, defining deliverables, business case development and reporting at a senior level including the ability to communicate effectively and to have a persuasive and credible presentation style
Strong business acumen and solution-orientation mindset
Experience in remote relationships (on-shore/off-shore capability delivery).
Preferred: Knowledge of the disease areas within the Pharma sector, with strong leadership and communication skills
University degree BA/BS/MA degree in business, statistics/mathematics, medicine, sciences, health economics, sociology, psychology
Fluency in English, superior written composition skills, a second European language is of benefit
