Position: Anchor Cum Content Writer

Qualification: Bachelors or Masters in any relevant field

Experience: 4 to 7 years

Job brief
We are looking for a senior content writer cum video anchor, with a good sense of what makes an interesting angle to a business news story, to juggle all the moving parts of publications. You will also be writing technical and nontechnical blogs and video scripts other than news content. You will plan, coordinate, review, proofread, and edit content. The successful candidate will be able to decide which ideas should be pursued and which should get dropped in order to meet quality and accuracy standards. The goal is to provide exceptional, informative, and engaging content.

Requirements :
1. Strong writing/editing/proofreading/copywriting skills and an excellent portfolio.
2. Excellent content writing and editing skills in English.
3. Should be able to re-write news articles/news summaries.
4. Familiarity with SEO and keyword research.
5. Ability to manage a team of writers, designers, and news creators.
6. Portfolio of published work.
7. Some anchor videos

Responsibilities:
1. Rewrite Business news stories, news titles, News SEO posts, and news articles.
2. Evaluate submissions from writers to decide what to publish.
3. Setting news publication standards and establishing goals and expectations
4. Suggesting business news stories and generate headline ideas in alignment with the targeted audiences preferences.
5. Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors
6. Proofread, edit, and improve stories or pieces.
7. Allocate print space for story text, photos, and illustrations according to space parameters and copy significance, using knowledge of layout principles.
8. Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources.
9. Assign topics, events, and stories to individual writers for coverage.
10. Should be able to implement various marketing strategies in order to get more people to read the published content.
11. Should be able to write a video script for various types of videos.
12. Should be able to write technical blogs other than new blogs.
13. Should have some proven skill for video anchoring.
