Job Description


Role Proficiency:
Execute test scenarios with minimal supervision.
Outcomes:
  1. Construct and execute systematic test cases by referring to test scenarios for embedded systems based on test specifications or requirements
  2. Ensure that new and revised modules or embedded systems perform to expectation
  3. Document test results and report defects
  4. Ensure meeting standards including usability performance reliability or compatibility
  5. Construct test plans based on test specifications / requirements

Measures of Outcomes:
  1. Timely completion of all task
  2. Number of test cases / scripts developed in comparisons to the benchmark
  3. Number of test cases / scripts executed in comparisons to the benchmark
  4. Number of valid defects
  5. Review Function and Software Test Specifications in the expected format.
  6. Post team review in comparison with benchmark
  7. Adherence to project quality processes as per demand.
  8. Number of change requests worked on defects reported.
  9. Adherence to Agile scrum process.

Outputs Expected:
Requirements:
  1. Understand the requirements and write the test specification; execute the tests
  2. Certified in ISTQB

Test Design
Development
Execution:
  1. Identify testable models and create test plan document
  2. Obtain signoff on test plan
  3. Identify and create test cases and test data
  4. Conduct Sanity testing for system readiness check
  5. Execute test cases and scripts
  6. Identify log and track defects
  7. Login productivity data

Debug:
  1. Able to isolate the root cause of the defects with a work around

Manage Defects:
  1. Regression tests and defect analysis reporting

Status Reporting:
  1. Report status of assigned tasks on daily basis. Comply with project related reporting standards and process

Document:
  1. Document the test development and test result

Skill Examples:
  1. Ability to review requirements to identify ambiguities
  2. Ability to develop test plan based on identified embedded module
  3. Aptitude in designing test cases scripts and requirements
  4. Ability to apply techniques to design efficient test cases / script
  5. Skill to set up the hardware and execute tests
  6. Ability to write new test scenarios
  7. Ability to identify anomalies and detail them
