Responsibilities:
Abstract information from documentation and assign appropriate codes
Ensure codes are accurate and sequenced correctly in accordance with guidelines
Follow up with supervisor on any documentation that is insufficient or unclear
Ensure that all codes are current and active
Ensure compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines.
Maintain the confidentiality of information.
