Job Description
Position Summary:
We are building the next generation of extensibility platform at Adobe powered by Cloud-based services. It is a unique and challenging opportunity to build and create a Cloud Extensibility services & platform solution that will cater to numerous developers and millions of users of Creative Cloud. We are seeking an enthusiastic, independent and highly motivated technology professional with a passion for building something new for the users.
About Cloud Extensibility:
Users of Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, and many more, can improve the capabilities of these products with scripts, extensions or plugins. Such solutions built by Adobe and third-party software developers enable users to add new features as well as perform repeated tasks and other functions that are not native to our product. So far such capabilities were available with our desktop products only. And now we have set course on this challenging journey to provide Cloud based Extensibility capabilities to our customers.
In addition to helping improve our customer's productivity by making sure they can access their Creative Cloud assets from anywhere (CC Libraries, Cloud Docs APIs), these CC Services will also help our customers modernize their workflow and take full advantage of their Cloud assets. The App Engines will unlock automation and creative velocity at scale through access to features from Adobe's creative tools and will allow for the running of actions and scripts in the Cloud. These initiatives will help build on what we've done with Creative Cloud Libraries to bring more Asset Services to developers to help drive retention while opening up Utilities and App Engines to help drive deeper engagement with CC services.
Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and support the overall Cloud Extensibility initiative.
- Own and implement production-quality features for Adobe's Cloud Extensibility services and platform.
- Translate high-level business requirements into a software design communicate the designs to the other developers in the team.
- Review and share feedback on code, features, technology, architecture, and designs.
- Implement comprehensive unit tests for confirming functionality and the quality of code.
- Seek/fix performance and scalability issues, and define/follow best-practices to ensure & enhance system uptime and reliability.
- Embrace a highly collaborative team that requires effective communication and quality contributions.
- Be a part of an engineering team's on-call rotation for production issues.
Requirements:
The person should have:
- 4+ years of hands on experience in the following areas:
- Backend services development.
- AWS/Azure.
- Performance & scaling.
- Good knowledge of Java and service frameworks.
- Good knowledge of caching techniques.
- Knowledge about Databases (Dynamo, Mongo etc.).
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with a self-starter and a goal-oriented attitude.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills can effectively articulate ideas.
Good to have full stack experience with JavaScript, ReactJS or similar technologies.
