PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE:
SAP Ariba Guided Buying is a fast-growing product with increasing adoption by a diverse customer base; increasingly we see customers leverage the consumer-grade interface of Guided Buying in the context of S/4 Hana deployments as part of our Intelligent Enterprise offering.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help the team drive continued and innovation to build our NextGen Operational procurement product. You will lead the planning and execution of functional and integration enhancements as well as the adoption of Technology Guidelines, working closely with our customers and Engineering teams. In this role, you will support defining product strategy and gather requirements towards a long-term roadmap that leads to customer success and continued market growth.
EXPECTATION AND TASKS:
As a member of the SAP Procurement team your will be responsible for:
Effectively communicate and work with large customers, prospects, and internal teams to gather requirements and be comfortable in presenting plans and outcomes to executive leadership.
Clearly articulate and capture requirements by writing meaningful and detailed Product Requirements Documents.
Contribute to the product roadmap for Operational Procurement as part of the Intelligent Enterprise Program strategy.
Demo and articulate the value of the product to customers, prospects, and internal groups.
Represent the product and team in Program, Technology, and related meetings.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years Product Management or related experience with preferably bachelor s degree in management or related subjects. MBA preferred or proven track-record
- Experience in Procurement applications, Search Engine, and Catalog, and Content Management systems desired.
- Ability to take responsibility proactively and drive a project under guidance.
- Should possess good skills in working with and influencing key stakeholders from product, engineering, sales, consulting, and marketing across the organization
- Should have the credibility to pitch ideas to the organization and harvest customer feedback and use cases that translate to product requirements to build solutions.
- Passion for combining technologies with business best practices.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Deep understanding of the overall product lifecycle and the purpose of various Product Management artifacts
Proficient at writing requirements documents and articulating how the requirements lead to product or feature development. Should be able to provide examples.
Ability to work with various types of individuals and groups, such as developers, technical support, sales, and consulting. Strong team player.
Proven track record building new and complex software applications on time with exceptional quality. Should be able to provide examples.
Previous knowledge in working with procurement software applications is a plus
Experience with Agile methodology and working in an Agile software development environment
Experience using JIRA for product development and Aha! for product planning is a plus
