Job Description

ZF Wind Power puts wind energy in motion! The ZF Wind Power Business Unit is part of ZF group which is known as one of the worlds leading automotive suppliers. Within our unit we develop, validate and service gear units used in wind turbines producing sustainable energy and we are doing this for more than 40 years! Today we build new the drivetrain solutions to meet the requirements of the future. As wind turbines continue to grow, we are continuously pushed outside of our engineering boundaries, which makes it a challenging engineering environment to work in.
To participate in the new Technology projects & New calculations methods for calculations for gear systems, interact with product development team to understand the requirements and challenges for the project and deliver new solutions and guidelines.
Principal Accountabilities:

• Participate in calculations and gear review and support for new projects
• Give technical advice to the internal organization (Product Development, Process, Quality& Validation, NVH
• To handle new technology activities in Gears area to improve the strength and durability of the gear components

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• B-Tech/M-Tech with at least 6-10 years of experience in design, Analysis and Application Engineering in Gears
• Experience in Mechanical Design in Heavy industries, preferably Wind Industry
• Experience in DFMEA, PFMEA & Experience in handling customers, suppliers
• Exposure to process, and operations in gears & Experience in Gear materials, profiles, and microgeometry
• Exposure to Gear damage and root cause analysis and improvement & Knowledge on Gear calculations, Gear Design andGear Calculation tools- STplus, Kiss Soft
