Job Description

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience on mainframe programming using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, DB2 etc
• Proficient with the available programming tools like File Manager, Fault Analyzer, Endevor, EZYEDIT, Changeman, ExPeditor etc.
• Analyze and Design Technical specification for projects requirements including regulatory, product investment and enhancements
• Understanding of the U.S. Lending Business - Mortgage and Auto (preferable)/Banking domain
• Good verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide estimation of assigned tasks
• Develop and test mainframe software changes based on business high-level functional designs
• Ability to do impact analysis for given functional / technical design
• Assist others in resolving their technical queries
• Anticipate risks, identify issues and communicate to Managers, Clients and other stakeholders
• Well aware of application development life cycles, methodology - agile and waterfall and ensure the standards are followed for software development
