Job Description
Position Title: Team Lead - Software Engineering
Location: Andheri, Mumbai
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in related disciplines
Experience Required: 10+ years of relevant experience in Software Engineering
Lead a small team of 3-5 engineers to include hiring, performance management, career development, etc
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and assistance to the team to build scalable, highly available applications
Interface with other teams such as Project Management and Operations for requirement gathering and planning
Independently make technical and business decisions that lead to the successful execution and rollout of a project
Work hands-on with a highly skilled team of engineers
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and release
Be highly motivated and maintain a positive, can-do attitude in a fast-moving environment
Foster the spirit of collaboration across multiple internal and external teams
Lead process improvement initiatives to improve Engineering as a whole

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in related disciplines
10+ years of relevant experience in Software Engineering
Experience with managing or leading a team of engineers as a Technical Lead or Team Lead
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders
Strong software design and architecture skills
Experience with Java and integrating with third party web services across a variety of technologies e.g. REST, SOAP, SMPP
Experience with building service-oriented, database driven applications
Experience with some (or all) of the following technologies/frameworks/tools: Maven, Git, MySQL, JMS, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Jersey, JMX, Jetty, Hessian.
Experience using agile methodologies and tools
Experience working on high-volume and low-latency systems
Attention to detail and strong organization skills
